Birch Bay Sand Dollar Discount Cards - "Be Part Of It!
In conjunction with the New Years Events this year, the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce is improving on the New Years Specials and coupon book offered in previous years.  Our New Years events bring thousands of folks to Birch Bay - so lets keep them here!

Our new idea is the creating of a "Birch Bay Sand Dollar" Discount Card.  The bearer of the card then receives the specials offered in the participating member businesses!  A preliminary sample of the card is shown.  A small poster will be displayed by businesses accepting the discount cards, so visitors can easily identify where the card benefits them.

Our intention is to provide the card for free to those purchasing T-shirts at the Polar Bear Plunge and those donating at the Ring of Fire - and later as a fundraiser, selling them for $5 to the general public.  The card will be good for all of 2010.  Businesses can update their monthly specials and the monthly flier will reflect the updates as well as on our website.  There will be a clickable logo on our home page at www.BirchBayChamber.com and when clicked will bring up a list of the participating business members, listing the current specials.

Many other communities are using these types of programs to keep folks buying local and to track where the customers are coming from.

In order to be fully prepared for the New Years Events - please get us your specials as soon as possible (by December 20th).  Again, we recommend you give us one or more specials good on New Years Eve and New Years Day as well as another special for January or thru the winter season. This is a great opportunity for our businesses to get customers planning ahead to come back.  The chamber will remind you to update your specials thoruhgout the year.

Your input and advice is welcomed!  We look forward to hearing from you and seeing your specials ASAP! Please email the chamber at info@birchbaychamber.com or call the chamber office at (360) 371-5004.
